Vinton Cerf

Vinton Cerf was born June 23, 1943 in New Haven, Connecticut. he went to college at UCLA and Stanford. He is considered one of the founders of the internet. In 1972, he got the idea for a network of packet-switching networks, which is the backbone of the internet. Working together with Kahn, he created the first version of the internet, called the ARPA Internet. This brought him attention and other scientists, who helped him create the TCP/IP unlocking the full potential. He didn't stop there though, he became vice president at the Corporation for National Research Initiatives, a non profit his buddy Kahn had formed. In 2005 he left and became vice president and "chief Internet evangelist" at Google.
